If all goes to plan, shops, hairdressers, gyms and outdoor hospitality will reopen on the 12th of April. Up to 6 people, or two separate households, will be able to meet in a beer garden for food and drink. So you can meet a group of up to 6 people from different households, or a maximum of two households can join to form a group of any size. And we couldn’t be more excited.

Swettenham Arms

The Swettenham Arms is an independent, family-run pub in a stunning, rural location between Congleton and Holmes Chapel. The Pheasant Inn, Burwardsley

The team at The Pheasant are delighted to be reopening on Monday the 12th of April. From this date, their outdoor dining will resume, as well as stays at their marvellous self-catered property, Pennsylvania Cottage.

The extensive garden menu features a range of pub classics, as well as delectable homemade cakes. So grab a table in the pub’s beer garden and soak up the idyllic views of the Cheshire Plain.

The Dog at Peover, Knutsford

Dating back to 1805, this stunning village location remains a much-loved local. Take a stroll around Tatton Park and then settle down for a delicious lunch and a pint in the beer garden. The Dog’s chefs use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to make an array of tempting dishes. Their fish and chips really are a little piece of heaven.

The Fox and Hounds at Sproston

As well as their tables on the grass area, the team at The Fox and Hounds have set up a stunning marquee to extend their outdoor dining service. With impressive lighting, the marquee is a council-approved venue, offering comfort and warmth, whatever the weather.

This superb country pub serves freshly prepared food, made with a selection of locally-sourced produce. Just a stone’s throw away from junction 18 of the M6, this is a great meeting point for family get-togethers.

The Wheatsheaf, Sandbach

The Wheatsheaf has a luxury outdoor terrace area. Covered and heated, you can wine and dine here come rain or shine. Guests can enjoy an impressive food and drinks menu, as well as a range of bespoke afternoon teas. And for added safety and comfort, each table has a Perspex dividing screen.

 The Bells of Peover, Knutsford

The Bells are opening up their beautiful beer gardens on the 12th of April. Set in picturesque Cheshire countryside, and opposite the impressive St. Oswald’s church, their outdoor dining area features landscaped gardens and modern patio areas. Devoted to supplying the best produce and the highest quality ingredients, the team at The Bells serve a range of dishes, all fresh to order.

Diners can join a range of footpaths straight from the village, making it a firm favourite with dog lovers across the county.

The Badger Inn, Church Minshull

Dating back to the 18th century, this black and white timber-framed inn is nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Diners can make the most of the nearby walks along the weaver way and around the aqueduct marina to Minshull lock.

The Fishpool Inn, Delamere

A much-loved, county favourite, The Fishpool Inn sits on the edge of Delamere’s enchanting forest. Diners can sit on the outdoor terrace and soak up the pub’s splendid surrounds. The Plough Inn, Eaton

Come and enjoy this quintessentially British beer garden. Think hay bales, daffodils and heated lamps.

Their outdoor heated tent is available to diners come rain or shine. And with a brand new spring menu on offer, there really is something for everyone.
