We are a small independent foodbank charity with a huge community heart. We couldn’t do the work we do without the fantastic support from all our supporters within the boundaries of Stockport and South Manchester. This support comes from residents, churches, schools, local businesses and of course our amazing team of volunteers.
Every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. For many, a blood stem cell donation from a matching donor is their best chance of survival. Sadly only 2% of the UK population is on the stem cell register and yet all it takes is a simple 2 minute cheek swab. Our mission is to provide a suitable donor for every person in need of a blood stem cell donation and ultimately delete blood cancer. We work towards achieving our mission by raising awareness and empowering people to register as potential blood stem cell donors, and to join our campaign by taking action in their communities, schools, and companies; working with volunteers and organisations throughout the UK to inspire and register more people.
