Pennysmart CIC – Money Advice, Education & Training Services.
We are a member of AdviceUK and Licensed and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, Reg No 618817.
Pennysmart Community Interest Company is a social enterprise that began as a pilot project in 2009. We use our money advice skills, knowledge and expertise to enable the most vulnerable and excluded people in our communities to access their full entitlements, exercise their rights, improve their money skills, take control and increase their overall quality of life and sense of well-being.
We like to think that we are the experts when it comes to the family finances like budgeting, benefits and debt. Our services are in such great demand that we have grown from humble beginnings and now have 13 members of staff. Not only do we solve people's money problems, we also create rewarding family-friendly jobs with training for local people.
We offer free, confidential and impartial one-to-one advice to help iron out those money worries.
Our services are currently available to families in Flintshire with children under 7 years old or who are expecting. We can also support any residents of Cheshire West and Cheshire East council areas.
Not only do we provide advice, we could also offer extra casework support to put that advice into action.
We also run money advice courses and events which are aimed at frontline workers and volunteers in third, public and private sectors looking to help others to manage their own money. We also run fun workshops for all money related things, such as, saving money on your energy bills, doing your own benefit check and how to refer people into money advice services.
