A group of all-female leaders is helping cement Sinclair Law’s position as Cheshire’s leading divorce and family law practice.

With offices in Wilmslow and Bramhall, Sinclair Law specialises in managing complex divorce cases involving high net-worth individuals and children with a caring approach.

Meet the leadership team who help reach the best outcomes for Cheshire families.

Lucy Hart Sinclair Law Wilmslow

Lucy Hart, Director

A senior family law solicitor and director of Sinclair Law, Lucy has overseen a period of rapid growth at the Wilmslow-based legal practice.

Under Lucy’s stewardship, Sinclair Law has grown its client base, taken on several new solicitors and, through the acquisition of Nicola J Tiernan Solicitors, expanded into Bramhall.

“The thing I’m probably most proud of is that, while expanding, we’ve managed to hold on to our caring and compassionate approach to family law.

“We’ve had challenges, particularly with the pandemic and remote work, but we’ve still been able to bond as a team and that’s essential if we want to achieve the best results for our clients.

“In November, one of our solicitors Angela managed to convince 13 of us to join in the Wilmslow 10K Festive Charity Run in sub-zero temperatures. I think some of us nearly lost some toes to frostbite, but it was all for a good cause, helping raise money for The Christie.”

Like the rest of the Sinclair team, Lucy is a big advocate of the collaborative approach to family law. This type of approach sees parties try to work together as much as possible to achieve the best outcomes for everyone.

With collaborative family law, cases generally don’t go to court, which means it’s usually more cost-effective and less stressful for family members – particularly children.

Lucy is a Resolution Accredited Collaborative Practitioner, a process that enables separating couples to reach solutions together, helping ease the pain of family breakdown.

“We’re definitely a ‘collaborate-first’ law firm, but this doesn’t mean we’re pushovers.

“If a collaborative solution isn’t possible then we fight incredibly hard to get the best outcome for our clients and we’ve got some of the best solicitors to do this.”

Sandra Sinclair, Non-Executive Director

Sandra established Sinclair Law Solicitors in 2011 with a view to delivering the best results for clients, while also emphasising family care.

An accomplished solicitor and business leader, Sandra has more than 33 years of post-qualification experience.

As managing partner, she helped grow her first firm SAS Lawyers into one of Stockport’s biggest legal practices with a flagship office near the town hall on Greek Street. Later, Sandra would oversee a merger with Daniels Solicitors in Congleton to create SAS Daniels – one of Cheshire’s biggest law firms.

Sandra is still an in-demand legal practitioner who is best known for her ability to manage complex financial cases and those involving high net-worth individuals.

Suzanne Moore, Solicitor and Partner

Suzanne Moore is an experienced and widely respected family solicitor specialising in all areas of family law including finances and children.

Suzanne is a specialist in LGBT issues and works closely with the LGBT Foundation and Proud2bparents in Manchester and is a member of the UK and Ireland LGBT Family Law Institute. Suzanne has published several articles on same-sex issues and regularly advises LGBT couples on children issues including surrogacy and donor agreements, divorce/dissolution, finances and separation.

Like Lucy, Suzanne is also a Resolution Accredited Collaborative Lawyer and upholds the highest commitment to working together to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Jeanette Birch, Solicitor

Jeanette is another highly qualified family law solicitor with more than 25 years of experience practising in Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire. She only joined Sinclair Law in November but has already made a big impression with colleagues and clients.

Jeanette is a member of the National Resolution Children’s Committee, which works to protect children in the family justice system and helps members put children at the heart of family justice. Previously, Jeanette has also lectured for the Open University.

Away from work Jeanette likes to spend time with her two children, her border collie and various cats that she fosters for a local charity. Jeanette has competed in masters track cycling championships at National, European and World-level and still enjoys riding on various velodromes when she can. During lockdown, Jeanette spent some of her free time writing and publishing a children’s book.

FREE 30-minute case review meetings are now being offered either face-to-face at our Wilmslow or Bramhall office, by telephone or video call. Contact us today if you would like some advice on any family law matter, including divorce, child arrangements and prenuptial agreements.
