Lucy Hart is director of Sinclair Law – one of Cheshire’s leading family law and wills solicitors.
With more than 16 years of experience in leading law firms, Lucy has overseen a period of rapid growth at the Wilmslow-based Sinclair Law, which recently expanded into Bramhall through the acquisition of Nicola J Tiernan Solicitors.
Lucy divides her time leading the firm and bringing up two active sons with her partner Tom and dog Freddie in High Peak.
“As a family we love to go camping, kick a ball around the local park and spend as much time as possible with friends and family,”
Sinclair Law specialises in complex divorce cases that involve children and high net-worth individuals, as well as bespoke wills and probate. The firm has built its reputation on a strong track record of success.
“Our approach is simple. We deliver successful outcomes with a supportive and compassionate approach from skilled lawyers. We always try to find the most sensible solution for our clients and do so at a cost that’s unrivalled by most larger firms in South Manchester and Cheshire.”
Sinclair Law and Nicola Tiernan are long-term proponents of the ‘collaborative approach’ to family law. This approach sees parties work together as much as possible to reach a resolution without going to court.
“We’re definitely a ‘collaborate first’ law firm, but if it’s not possible then we will fight hard in court to get the best outcomes for our clients,”
Under Lucy’s leadership, Sinclair Law has helped cement a reputation as the firm of choice for LGBT+ people dealing with family law issues in the area.
Suzanne Moore is another highly experienced family law solicitor who runs a legal surgery for the LGBT+ community in Manchester. She is also a member of the LGBT Family Law Institute – a group of experienced solicitors and barristers dedicated to the advancement of LGBT issues in family law.
Like Lucy, Suzanne is also a Resolution Accredited Collaborative Lawyer and upholds the highest commitment to working together to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
“Many people often feel excluded from the family law system and this can be a real barrier to justice. Sometimes all you need is to have someone explain explain an issue in terms you understand.
This is also why I’m pleased we have Agata who speaks Polish as a solicitor. She’s helped lots of Polish-speaking clients access justice by explaining legal jargon and processes.”
“Lucy Hart was very professional handling my divorce, she was calm and considered with great advice. She handled all matters with clarity and has a warm approachable personality. Would thoroughly recommend. This company has a real family feel, excellent.” Rachel Z.
