As an only child, I enjoyed spending time on my own and when I wasn’t surrounded by pink toys, I’d probably have my head in a book or be writing stories. Fast forward 20 years, and I’m now doing that for a living…
Where it all started
Despite having a love for the written word, I studied Broadcast Journalism at university. While it was a great few years, and I was able to build lots of new skills, I couldn’t get away from the fact that I wanted to write. After a spell at a couple of marketing agencies, I then took the plunge to become a freelance writer.
Having worked with lots of estate agents, all over the UK, I sort of fell into a niche. I’d spend my days writing about interior trends, optimising property descriptions and creating website content from scratch. I loved working within this industry, and still do, but knew that I wanted to broaden my horizons.
Where I am now
Today, I work from my base in Wilmslow and support businesses all over the UK. Put simply, I give businesses a voice and help to put their ideas into words. Whether you want help with blogs, website content, emails, social media posts, printed leaflets or something else, I can help.
In fact, so many businesses come to me knowing that they should be doing something but not having a clue as to what. That’s okay too. I’m more than happy to take the lead and create a content strategy, and equally enjoy being steered by someone if they want to hold the reins.
You’re probably wondering what my niche is. It’s something that I get asked a lot. I guess, my niche is that I don’t have a niche. I absolutely love working with all different clients, in all manner of industries – and if I don’t know about the topic at hand, even better. I’ve written about everything from recruitment and marketing to employee absenteeism and water treatment.
Where to next?
As I look ahead to 2022, I’m hugely excited for another year in business. I genuinely love meeting new people, hearing about their vision for their website or communications and helping to bring that to life. I’m also offering a free website audit for those who just want a second opinion on their website content, and I’ll also recommend 3 blog titles that you should focus on based on key search terms.
If you’re looking for some support with your words, I’d be delighted to help. You can email me at email@example.com or drop me a message via Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook.
